NumbersUSA and the need to lower immigration numbers
NumbersUSA is a nonprofit organization founded in 1996 and dedicated to stopping the massive amnesty, uncontrolled mass immigration and shrinking wages that are undermining our national unity.
The goal of NumbersUSA is to restore sensible U.S. population growth which will result in good jobs with rising wages for Americans and improved quality of life for our children.
NumbersUSA educate the public on how current high levels of immigration – both legal and illegal – undermine economic prosperity, degrade the environment, burden America’s welfare state, increase poverty among U.S. citizens, and weaken America’s military and global influence.
The NumbersUSA Institute conducts a wide range of research, education and publishing efforts on these subjects. In addition, we monitor the annual Census Bureau Report on the national population by race, gender and age to measure U.S.-born population growth versus natural increase.
We encourage people across America to contact their elected representatives urging them to support immigration policies that promote employment for American workers, protect the environment and advance national security.
We work to reduce the number of immigrants allowed into the U.S. each year and to end the welfare and business benefits that are now extended to more than 11 million illegal immigrants, their children, and their grandchildren.
Additionally, we lead the grassroots effort to educate the public about immigration reform issues, conduct public education events, and promote legislation that will reduce overall immigration.
Our research efforts have won us praise from the media and from distinguished policymakers such as Capitol Hill scholars and members of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission.
In addition, our educational materials have been featured on national TV, in leading newspapers and magazines, in nationwide radio broadcasts, and on the Internet. All this attention has brought our message to hundreds of thousands of Americans who want the federal government to protect their jobs and wages against unfair competition by overpopulation from other nations.
The organization is committed to protecting both U.S. borders and American jobs against the budget-busting free-spending of governments in other countries who are adding to their population at an alarming rate and flooding their economies with cheap labor. See this article for more information.
